Ok I was sucked in by a trailer featuring Chris Rock and other great comedy actors. I was expecting a movie along the lines of Bridesmaids except all about pregnancy. So what to expect when your expecting a movie like Bridesmaids.
Non-stop laughter
Outrageous cringe worthy scenes
Not much of the boring lovey dovey moments
A movie that helps you forget the outside World.
I can't say I received any of the above. My wife is in the final stages of our first pregnancy and is also in the final stages of the book version. There are so many possibilities from the book that could of been explored that didn't feature. Instead they choose to go down a route of investigating relationships and not pregnancy. The movie has some merit with some top actors who just about aloud me to stay awake and the story lines that feature were mostly credible.
I wouldn't even say this is one for the girls, I was with two pregnant females who both didn't really like the movie but I guess it will suit some people as there were a couple of people in the cinema who seemed to enjoy it.
To summarize, less Notebook more Bridesmaids and a bit more relevancy would of meant this was a great movie.

I really enjoyed What to Expect When You're Expecting. Definitely a chick flick - guys probably just won't get it. It was a last minute decision to go but we ended up laughing our heads off and shedding a few tears as well!
You will love the different "Mums" they have cast - we all know one of them and don't think they are all "beautiful" no stretch marks type casting either - they've covered most scenarios!! And the "Dads" meeting are priceless.
If you think it's a doco about pregnancy - it's not, if you're in need of a good laugh & a bit of a cry then head along with your girlfriends. And if you don't like the story you will appreciate Chace Crawford!!!!
It's kind of like a very muted version of Bridesmaids - for Mum's or Mum's to be!
