What do Aucklanders find funny?

I think Aucklanders react more to world events, and think that's something to do with Auckland being a bit more connected to the world than perhaps the rest of New Zealand simply because it's the biggest city. Certainly jokes about Auckland road closures and the mayoral races only really work in Auckland, as no-one cares anywhere else!

It's probably not so hidden any more thanks to all the comedians that go there, but Tanuki's Cave is just fantastic. It's the default place to go for comedians as it's right next to the Classic. I often go there before a gig, and it's just got a great feel to it.
